Southeast Volusia Hospital District

The Hospital District is an independent special-taxing district, whose mission is to provide access to health care for residents of Southeast Volusia County irrespective of their ability to pay. A board of 7 appointed commissioners oversees the District, deciding how best to use funds to ensure Southeast Volusia residents receive quality healthcare.

The Southeast Volusia Hospital District is an independent special tax district encompassing the southeast portion of Volusia County, Florida is currently seeking to fill vacancies on the Board of Commissioners. Candidates must be qualified electors and freeholders residing in the district. Current vacancies are for New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, The City of Port Orange, or the unincorporated area of the hospital district. Commissioners shall have business, professional, or personal experience useful for service as a commissioner.
